East Cape mānuka oil is an essential oil that comes from steam distilling the leaves and twigs of the mānuka plant, grown in the remote East Cape of New Zealand.
The essential oil can be used for a plethora of skin and health concerns, including:
- Dandruff & Dry itchy scalps
- Sore muscles
- Congested sinuses
- Cuts and scrapes
What makes East Cape mānuka oil different to regular mānuka oil?
Not all mānuka oil is equal. Mānuka oil that's been sustainably made from East Cape mānuka trees is packed full of β-triketones — natural compounds that kill off bad bacteria, and is the key to the botanical oil’s unparalleled effectiveness for common skin concerns.
East Cape mānuka oil comprises over 80 different beneficial bioactive compounds. It is also scientifically proven to be unmatched for anti-bacterial effectiveness, and is packed full of powerful anti-fungal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties.
Botanical name: Leptospermum scoparium.
Mānuka β-triketone Rating (MβTK™): MβTK™ 30+
